Description
Infolink T bandwidth provides you access to the Internet via an InfolinkT NAP. This service intelligently routes a customer's traffic over the best available Tier 1 Internet backbone (AGIS, AT&T, C&W, GTE Internetworking, SPRINT, UUNET, AOL, and Verio).
Usage Based Billing
Infolink bills monthly for your base bandwidth purchase. For bandwidth used above the base amount there is an additional per megabit usage charge that is billed at the end of each month. Infolink uses the 95th percentile measurement rule to calculate the additional bandwidth used above the base amount. Decimal fractions of a megabit are included with the additional bandwidth used measurement
95th Percentile Measurement Rule
The Infolink Bandwidth Measurement System collects the data points for the average input and output traffic flowing through each line connecting your equipment to the Infolink network every five minutes. This information is collected 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Over the billing period, the highest five percent total traffic data points are discarded. The highest of the remaining data points are designated as the 95th percentile usage value.
The 95th percentile value of the total traffic is used to determine the additional bandwidth usage with respect to 'Base' usage bandwidth.
